...Wroclaw4... by *canismaioris is sensuously dark and, like the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, shows us a ray of light and hope amidst the night.. light that always seems just out reach. "Gorgeous lighting and an amazing staircase. What's not to love?" ( Suggested by KneelingGlory and Featured by Katerina423 )

This is a beautiful shot, I was introduced to this picture by a good friend of mine on FB back in January of this year, he posted it with the caption "Hauntingly Beautiful", it would end up being the last thing he ever posted on FB. Unfortunately that weekend my friend took his own life, I guess he was going through a lot that he didn't talk about with me or anyone else. When I found out about his death I came back to his FB page and tried to relive some moments we shared in our life. I remember looking at this picture for a long time, trying to imagine what he was thinking and feeling in those moments before he killed himself, thinking maybe somehow I'd see what he saw and maybe understand what he was trying to tell everyone with it. He was an atheist and didn't have any beliefs in an afterlife, but I'd like to think maybe he got something deeply meaningful from this when he looked at it. He was always someone who tried to look deeply into things and see a deeper meaning in them, and I'm sure he saw meaning in this. I'm glad I found this again, it truly is "hauntingly beautiful".
